Nakamura Galvanometer, GM-6000, with Shield

This instrument can be used to measure very weak DC currents. For example, it is capable of measuring the resistance in a Wheatstone circuit as part of an electromagnetic induction test.

The galvanometer incorporates a highly sensitive 1000 magnification amplifier which enables the accurate reading of measurements at the magnitude of 2.5 nA

By incorporating an amplifier in a conventional galvanometer, the A05-7120 becomes a super sensitive device. This galvanometer is 1000 times more sensitive then available conventional models. The indicator oscillates visibly during experiments of electromagnetic induction using a single lead wire and either a bar or U-shaped magnet.

The A05-7120 may be employed as an ordinary galvanometer by simply turning off the selector switch which disconnects the amplifier circuit. The use of a differential amplifying circuit in the current amplification unit provides for more stable readings that are not significantly affected by the operation of instruments in the vicinity.
