Phosphate in Fresh Water Test Kit

A major cause of water pollution is an excess of phosphate. After performing these qualitative tests, students will better understand and appreciate why certain areas of the country have restricted its use in detergents due to the problems this non-biodegradable substance causes.

The presence of phosphate is indicated by the solution turning blue. The kit contains sufficient materials for 150 individual qualitative tests, enough for 10 students to work simultaneously.
