Properties of Acids and Bases Experiment

A thorough introduction to acids and bases. This kit provides a completely safe and convenient method for students to study, test and observe the characteristic properties of acids and bases. Using the chem-plate, each student can perform a total of seven different activities that involve acids and bases all in complete safety.

Hyrdrogen gas is prepared by each student using an exclusive, safe feature of the Chemplate. This is a kit that saves money, time and is very universal and important. No preparation or procurement of additional materials is required by the teacher.

Kit permits your students to perform the following activities:
1.Reacting metal with acids and producing hydrogen in safe quantities
2.Collecting and safely testing hydrogen
3.Reacting carbonates with acids and producing carbon dioxide
4.Collecting and testing carbon dioxide
5.Observing the effects of acids and bases on idicator dyes.
6.Measuring the concentration of acids by titration of an unknown
7.Performing a neutralization experiment.

Kit contains enough materials for 12 lab groups of 2 students each for 2 classes.
