Nakamura Electrostatic Field Apparatus

This unique apparatus is designed for the observation of electric lines of force. The visible lines are generated by applying an external electric field to the plastic observation cell filled with a special solution. Individual or classroom size demonstrations can be conducted by using an overhead projector. Select any of the five electrode plates to enhance this experiment. To operate this apparatus, the user charges an electrode plate using the high-voltage generator box. The results will vary according to the 5 types of plates being used, as different lines of force can be observed.

PREPARATION
It is recommended to properly shake the observation cell before each experiment. This will allow the particles to disperse throughout the cell. An air chamber is located at the top of the cell to permit free movement of the particles.
