Nakamura Refraction Tank, RT-100N (no transformer)

Our Uniquely designed circular tank helps our students understand the laws of Reflection and Refraction the first time. When light travels from air to water, both refraction and reflection can be observed where the beam crosses. This apparatus lets you measure the angle of incidence of the light beam, as well as the angles it makes as it reflects or refracts.

The transparent water tank is permanently mounted on a stand and has a removable arm. The sharp beam of light produced by a light source is clear visible on the graduation of the back panel, and can be adjusted to pass through the center of the tank for reliable angle readings. Fill the tank to the marked line with water and use a lase beam or other light source and observe the outcome.

FEATURES:
* Incidence angle of the light ray can be varied by moving the arm.
*Reflection and refraction at angles of up to 270 degrees are clearly shown as a ray of light passes through the center of the circular scale.
*Sealed container prevents water leakage.
