This technical training unit is a cut-away of an Audi/Volkswagen gas engine with direct injection. Gas engines having direct injection (fuel inlet in the combustion chamber and not in the air suction duct), have high performances and are designed to comply with the most severe anti-pollution regulations.The engine is mounted on a stand with wheels and operates electrically. The engine runs at a reduced speed in order to let the student easily observe and understand the operation of the various mechanical parts.
